Tier 1: Introductions to Ending Violence
By attending this interactive training, you will have an opportunity to:
- Learn about engaging in relationships;
- Define interpersonal and sexual violence;
- Explore statistics of interpersonal and sexual violence; and
- Learn about opressive language, consent, and victim blaming,
Tier 2: Active Bystander Intervention
By attending this interactive training, you will have an opportunity to:
- Discuss Healthy vs. Unhealthy relationships;
- Gain a better understanding of the University's definition of consent, how to know you have it and how to ask for it;
- Explore statistics of sexual violence;
- Identify red flags of interpersonal violence;
- Learn what it means to be an active bystander and how to safely and effectively intervene; and
- Become knowledgable in both on and off campus resources.
Tier 3: Combating Rape Culture: A Guide to Activism
By attending this interactive training, you will have an opportunity to:
- Understand what Rape Culture is and how it is perpetuated;
- Dismantle rape myths;
- Discuss sexism, patriarchy, privilege and gender roles; and
- Learn things you can do daily to combat Rape Culture.
